Get started volunteering with Benefits in Action today! See the steps below to start the onboarding process.
Not all volunteer positions need to go through every step of the process. If you are interested in packing food with Benefits in Action, you can sign up for the day and shift you prefer and show up day-of for onsite training.

1. Create an account: Join the volunteer site to sign up for various opportunities and record volunteer hours.
2. Orientation: Once you have an account on the volunteer site, you can sign up for a New Volunteer Orientation. This is a time to learn all about Benefits in Action
3. Interview: Chat with someone on the Benefits in Action team to answer lingering questions and make sure the role is the right fit.
4. Screening: Background checks are needed for most volunteer positions.
5. Training: Training requirements vary for each position, with a combination of asynchronous training and in-person training.
