Volunteer: Food Box Assembly

Join the Benefits in Action team to sort food donations and pack boxes of food. Benefits in Action, with the help of volunteers, delivers 100+ boxes every week to homebound older adults in the Denver metro area. 

During the Food Box Assembly shift, you will work in the warehouse to receive deliveries, sort and organize donations, and pack boxes of groceries.

Volunteer: Food Delivery Driver

Help reduce food insecurity for home-bound individuals and families by volunteering to deliver food to our neighbors! Benefits in Action helps home-bound seniors and families without transportation access additional nutrition through free, monthly deliveries of fresh and non-perishable food.

Volunteer Delivery Drivers must have a vehicle that can accommodate 6-8 large boxes (24"x24"), a cell phone, and be able to lift about 20 pounds and navigate steps and stairs to clients homes.

To ensure the safety of our clients, we conduct a background screening that includes criminal and driving record search. we require volunteers to provide a current drive's license and proof of automobile insurance.

Families with children 10 or older or teams may deliver food together with prior approval.

Help our neighbors find needed healthcare insurance! Volunteers are trained to navigate the Connect For Health Colorado and help community members select a plan that best fits their needs. Connect For Health Colorado "Assistors" provide unbiased information to clients, not recommending one product over another. 

Connect For Health Assistor training will start August 30 with Volunteer Orientation, the remainder of training is online and can be completed easily from home. 

Once trained, volunteers are asked to commit to 3 hours weekly for a minimum of 6 months.
