Help reduce food insecurity for home-bound individuals and families by volunteering to deliver food to our neighbors this May! Benefits in Action helps seniors and families throughout the Denver-metro area access additional nutrition through monthly deliveries of fresh and non-perishable food.
Join us for our Food Delivery Extravaganza! Deliver smiles and food; make a difference in your community. Help us deliver over 300 boxes in one day!
Volunteer Delivery Drivers must have a vehicle that can accommodate 8-10 boxes (12"x16"x16"), a cell phone, and be able to lift about 20-35 pounds and navigate steps and stairs to clients homes.
Families or teams may deliver food together.
Sign up for the shift you prefer - arrive at the warehouse at the beginning of the shift. Deliveries will take about 2-3 hours, depending on distance from warehouse.
When you register, include in the response notes:
- how many boxes/deliveries you can accommodate (default is 10)
- the zip codes/areas/cities you would like to deliver to in Adams, Arapahoe, Denver, and/or Jefferson counties -- If you are willing to deliver anywhere, let us know!
*Valid driver's license and proof of insurance required, please have both available on the day of the delivery or send copies to volunteers@benefitsinaction.org beforehand.
