As a Referral Assistant, volunteers assist clients in scheduling clients from referral partners for the appropriate appointment(s). Volunteers may work onsite at BIA offices, remotely, or hybrid.
Volunteers work from referrals received through various channels (referral platforms, emails, online form). Referral Assistants call clients, take them through the intake form, and schedule for the appropriate appointment(s).
Can be done remotely or from a Benefits in Action office location.
Volunteers must be comfortable using online databases and application systems and have experience with Microsoft Office products. Volunteers are required to complete reporting for this assignment and service hour reporting.
