Help reduce food insecurity for home-bound individuals and families by volunteering to deliver food to our neighbors this holiday season! Benefits in Action helps home-bound seniors and families without transportation access additional nutrition through free, monthly deliveries of fresh and non-perishable food.
Volunteer Delivery Drivers must have a vehicle that can accommodate 8 boxes (12"x16"x16"), a cell phone, and be able to lift about 20 pounds and navigate steps and stairs to clients homes.
Families with children 10 or older or teams may deliver food together.
Sign up for the shift you prefer - arrive at the warehouse at the beginning of the shift. Deliveries will take about 2 hours, depending on distance from warehouse.
When you register, include in the response notes:
- how many boxes/deliveries you can accomodate (default is 8)
- the zip codes/areas/cities you would like to deliver to in Adams, Arapahoe, Denver, and/or Jefferson counties
*Valid driver's license and proof of insurance required, please have both available on the day of the delivery or send copies to volunteers@benefitsinaction.org beforehand.
