Helping families get the nutrition they need, volunteers will assist community members with applications for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) in Boulder County.
All training is provided by Benefits in Action or our affiliates.
Volunteers may assist with SNAP applications onsite at a variety of locations, from home remotely or from a partner location in Boulder County. Training for the SNAP Navigator assignment is conducted at our office in Lakewood or virtually.
Onboarding and Training Requirements:
- Volunteer Orientation (1 hour)
- Background Screening
- HIPPA/Internet Security Training (2 hours)
- SNAP Training (8 hours)
- Shadowing
Time Commitment:
Volunteer are asked to commit to 3 hours weekly for a minimum of 6 months.
